Kelsey, a Registered Forest Technologist (RFT), came to Silvicon in 2018 with varied forestry experience in silviculture, timber development, and timber cruising. In most years, Kelsey spends the summer season supervising silviculture surveys and spends the winter season in the office planning for the next season. She became a Silviculture Accredited Surveyor (SAS) in 2016 and has experience in a variety of silviculture surveys including planting quality inspections, regeneration surveys, free-growing surveys, forest health surveys, ITSL, and post-wildfire assessments.

In 2022 Kelsey became Silvicon's Health and Safety Coordinator and is responsible for completing internal SAFE maintenance audits, performing new hire orientations, managing company documentation and training, and reviewing and writing company policies and procedures.

Kelsey also currently co-manages a large-scale tree planting implementation and supervision program, with a yield-based free-growing pilot project alongside one of Silvicon’s Registered Professional Foresters.
